Shalford village today currently has a primary school, village hall, 14th century pub (The George) and a village hall that can hold up to 100 people.
To the southern end of the village is Stoneley Park, created in 1997 from an infilled sand pit to now a park and wildlife area where residents have planted trees and scattered wild seeds which has resulted in an ambiance of flowers.
St Andrews church has Saxon origins; it houses one of the finest organs in north-west Essex, built in the late 1870’s.
