The village also benefits from Black Notley Community Association which offers activities such as Tai Chi, Table Tennis, Carpet Bowls and features a heated open-air pool open from May until October. Memberships are available and the hall can be hired at a cost.

For other leisure activities in the village, you can visit The Notley's Golf Club. Also located within The Notley's Golf Club is Leman's fitness which is a gym providing everything from gym equipment to personal training and outdoor boot camp classes.

There are two pre-schools in the village. Mannadale Nursery and The Colour Wheel. They offer childcare for children from 3 months old to 8 years old.

The Vine Inn can be found on The Street, Black Notley. This 16th Century pub provides a central bar and restaurant area with lunchtime and evening meals available.
